CEED conducts education within grassroots communities to build the capacity of communities to engage in their own voice on critical energy, climate and environmental policies and planning that effect their health and livelihoods. We recognize that all communities and peoples have their own unique cultures and histories, with our work supporting community knowledge and internal community strengths.
We are committed to honoring the goals and values of each community and to promoting strategies that create a healthy environment, wise use of natural resources, and leadership development in spaces that are most affected by pollution and unequal political access.
CEED is committed to building leadership among our young people through our Youth in Environmental Learning and Leadership (YELL!) program.
Our popular education materials are designed to initiate conversation, acknowledge community knowledge, and develop collective community action.
