hyDROgen's Journey: The Life of Hydrogen / Environmental Impacts in Your Community comics were jointly created by the Center for Earth, Energy & Democracy (CEED) & the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at University of Minnesota to take a raise public awareness about Hydrogen's potential benefits and harms when it comes to clean energy solutions.

In hyDROgen's Journey we follow Dro, a young Hydrogen molecule who just doesn't know what he's meant to be in life. As we journey with Dro, we learn about the differences Grey, Blue and Green Hydrogen, and how communities are impacted by environmental harms from hydrogen-based energy in terms of water use, air quality, global warming and more.

Artist Lynda Grafito illustrated both chapters in collaboration with Natalya Arevalo, Elise Harrington and Ansha Zaman. A special thank you to Sam Hunt, who researched the way Green Hydrogen may impact communities in the Midwest.
