Building Leadership

CEED believes in intentional and community-rooted cross-learning in order to build collective leadership. CEED is committed to building leadership among local communities through the Twin Cities Energy Efficiency Cohort (EE Cohort), Youth in Environmental Learning and Leadership (YELL!) program, paid internship opportunities and ongoing Popular Education work.

Currently, CEED supports the coordination of the EE Cohort – a local, collaborative project intended to engage various hyper-local community organizations serving BIPOC and low-income residents around home energy justice and the environment.

For young people interested in social justice and protecting the environment, CEED runs the Youth in Environmental Learning and Leadership (YELL!) program. The YELL! program is meant to engage, educate and empower youth of color (ages 18-25) to make a difference in their community through learning and hands-on community projects. The YELL! Program will be returning to CEED in 2026.

CEED encourages the free use of our educational resources and popular education curriculum for community learning and movement building. Please enjoy and share the tools published here.
